Ride Information

The Chelan Century Challenge is a cloverleaf design passing through orchards and vineyards into the mountainous terrain surrounding Lake Chelan; one of the world’s most spectacular glacial carved lakes with some of Washington State’s most impressive scenery. Each leaf is completely different – Loop 1 is 29.9 miles in length with an elevation gain of 2359ft, Loop 2 is 40.8 miles long with an elevation gain of 4313ft and Loop 3 is 34.6 miles long with an elevation gain of 2937ft. Each loop combines challenging hills with captivating scenery.

The ride is 105.3 miles with a total elevation gain is 9,609ft of (depending on your individual GPS and riding style). The signature climb is McNeil Canyon – this climb is 6 miles long starting at 850ft and finishing at 3100ft. It is rated as a “Cat 1” climb. Riders are required to complete all three loops in sequence, but are free to ride only the first loop or the first and second loop if they wish.

Prevent Injury & Ride Your Best

One of the biggest training mistakes cyclists make is leaving recovery to chance.

Cycling demands a lot from our bodies, if we’re not keeping up with maintenance, then it will eventually break down.

The best way to prevent injury while riding is with targeted mobility and strength work.

Our friends at Dynamic Cyclist have created easy to follow routines, 15 - 20 minutes in length, that will keep you riding pain free all season long.
