Havana Hills Spring Classic
Havana Hills is a ride for those wanting a new challenge to kick start the cycling season. Havana's hills have been the site of local bike races, the Florida State Championships and the Master's Nationals. Our Classic Ride includes an 88 mile route ("feels like a 100") that has 3300 feet of elevation gain. There is also hilly and challenging 48 and 25 miles options.
A very active Havana Main Street has sponsored the Ride. They are working with the Town of Havana to make Havana a bicycling destination. Together, they are promoting bicycling with a goal to make Havana a Florida Trail Town. The Town Council has included bicycling as an integral part of their Downtown Master Plan including a five mile trail joining a biking connector to Tallahassee.
Ride these lightly traveled roads, enjoy Florida weather and experience a topography unique in the state of Florida. Truly, a paradise for the rider that wants a demanding journey through beautiful countryside, reveling in the thrill and freedom usually available only in our dreams. “There is no better place to cycle east of the Mississippi in January and February.” See for yourself, join the Havana Hills Ride.
Following your ride take time to view and enjoy the historic Main Street of downtown Havana. The merchants and restaurants will be rolling out the red carpet for your visit. Downtown is less than 15 minutes north of Tallahassee.
