Hell of Hunterdon
Ride Information
The Hell of Hunterdon is the Mid-Atlantic’s Premier Spring Classic & Mixed Surface Ride; it is the ideal way to open your cycling season. The courses wind their way through scenic farmland and country towns in New Jersey’s Sourland Region.
- The Hell (Long) Course is the traditional 82 mile course with 19 dirt, gravel, and hardscrabble roads (19% of the course). Total elevation gain is ca 5200 feet (according to RideWithGPS). This Course has 3 Aid Stations.
- The Heck (Medium) Course is 56 Miles long with 9 unpaved roads. Total elevation gain is ca 3900 feet (according to RideWithGPS). This course has 2 Aid Stations
- The Purgatory (Short) Course is 30 Miles Long with 4 unpaved roads. Total elevation gain is ca 1950 feet (according to RideWithGPS). This course has NO Aid Stations. It’s 30 miles, you can do it!
- All Courses can be shortened by 5 miles, removing ca 500′ of elevation gain, by taking the posted short cut.
The ride is followed by a Post Ride Celebration that includes hot food, cold beer, and door prizes in a festive indoor/outdoor environment.
